As a Chartered Accountant I felt that I should be able to manage my own financial investments. I tried for many years but was never satisfied with the result. To do it effectively requires time that I do not have. I selected Michael because; I wanted an advisor who is independent of the companies and funds in which my savings are invested; he explained a process by which he understands his clients’ requirements; he demonstrated (and still does!) an understanding of the financial markets and keeps abreast with current techniques and issues. I have been with Michael Barr for over three years now and I feel entirely comfortable with the regular communication we have about my portfolio and the way it is invested. I am convinced that this will generate better returns than I could manage myself, or by investing in large unit trusts and relying on fund managers.
